The outside shell is tough and it will hold it's shape for a long time.  The zippers are full-size metal, and they close very nicely.  Your controller will have plenty of room but not so much where it rattles around inside.

The interior is soft cloth, so it will baby your controller when you stow it away.  The pocket on top is mesh, which will not impact the buttons.  The shape is perfectly designed for most controllers like Xbox One/X/S, PS5, or Nintendo Switch Pro controllers.

The  mesh pocket has room for cables, button covers, and many other things you'd like to take along.  It's a deep pocket and comes with a small carry bag that you can keep or ditch, it doesn't seem needed.  I like that it's open up top as well so you can quickly grab what you need without fumbling with another zipper.
